assist:

When your minions or a member in your group is engaged in combat, but you are not. You can then type assist or just A on Mush Z to also join into the fight and target the mob the others are fighting.


action:

This is used to emote something. Similar to a /me command. Also shortened to ac.


armor:

This gives you your current armor class along with what protections you may have against elements.


absorbs:

This tells you all the absorbs in game along with a plus or minus on what your current equipment totals up to.


auction:

This turns on or off the auction channel, and also has other inputs you can use. You can read about these with help 1.auction in the game.


affects:

This shows you all the spells or curses your character currently has applied to them. This can be shortened to ef.


afk:

This puts your character in the away from keyboard mode. This doesn't do much except let people know you are away if they send a tell, and also maybe stop some character timers in game.


allies:

This lets you know if everyone in your group is with you.


alias:

This is the command to manage aliases. You can read about the other inputs with it by doing help 1.alias in game.


aliases:

This will list all of your current aliases.


appraise:

This allows you to check to see how much something can be improved. It can be shortened to app. You have to appraise something specific, like 'appraise sword'.


alignment:

This shows your current alignment, along with your current goal.


alts:

This lists the public alt characters for someone. for example alt bob.


area:

This is the command to get information for different areas in game. just typing area alone gives you the info on what other arguments can be entered.


areas:

This lists all the areas in game if you are into that sort of thing. Expect screen reader lag if typing this one in.


advice:

This is some generic advice given for what every player should have in different classes.


advance:

This seems to be another way of typing level. You need to put in the class you wish to advance or level after the command.


achievements :

This shows all your achievements in game. You can learn about additional arguments with help 1.achievements.


attack:

This can be used to start a fight with a mob. you follow the command with the mob you wish to attack.


abort:

This is a way of stopping everything you are doing. if you have cast four spells in a row, you can do abort to stop the rest of them from being cast. in mushZ you can also just do control+D to abort.


attract:

This is a warrior skill to bring mobs to your room. you can read about it with help 1.attract in game.


auto:

This brings up a list of different arguments for the auto command.


autobrew:

This is a way of saving and managing mage brewing potions. You can read about it by just typing autobrew, or with help 1.autobrew.


autoexit:

This toggles on the automatic speaking of exits when you enter a room.


autodoor:

This toggles on the automatic speaking of closed doors when you enter a room.


autosplit:

This toggles the automatic splitting of gold you gather from corpses with your group members. A very important thing to turn on.


autogold:

This toggles the automatic harvesting of gold from corpses when you kill them.


autoloot:

This toggles automatically picking up loot from inside corpses after you kill them.


autolook:

This toggles the automatic listing of the stuff in corpses after you kill them.


autosac:

This toggles the automatic sacrificing of empty corpses.


autoshort:

This toggles the highlighting of room short descriptions.


autobrief:

This toggles the brief mode. when on you only get a line about the room you are in. When off you get the full long description.


autotick:

This puts a marker on the visual output when a game tick hits. Use this to toggle it on or off.


autoreload:

This toggles you automatically reloading ranged weapons.


autorewield:

This toggles the automatic wielding of disarmed weapons. make sure this one is on.


autowield:

This is the same as autorewield.


autoturn:

This has to do with the cleric spell turn undead, you can read about the spell with help 1.turn undead.


autocount:

This toggles the automatic sorting and combining of multiple items when looking in bags and other containers. This is very useful if you continually have multiple of the same items like soul stones.


autoremove:

This toggles the automatic removal of something when you attempt to wear another item in the same body slot.


autoenter:

This toggles you automatically entering portals when your group leader does.


autoassist:

This toggles you automatically assisting group members, but it still requires you to type A or assist to join the fight either way at the start. It just ensures you continue on to the next mob in the room if there is one. you can read about it with help 2.assist.


autounhide:

This toggles the ability to unhide when using commands like recasting spells, or talking. if this is enabled you will be blocked from doing things that will unhide you while hidden.


autosize:

This has 3 options, off, implied, and exact. it toggles if you will see the size of things, and if so how.


autotithe:

If you are in a clan and this is not turned on clan wide, you can toggle it here. It donates a small percentage of your looted and won gold to the clan dues.


autoflee:

This toggles your character's ability to automatically run when you have low hp. also known as whimpy mode.


autobind:

This is a command to bind equipment to your character. you have to type the item after the command along with the dash force flag after it.


ansicolor:

This has something to do with colors for people with eyeballs.


antidotes:

If you are carrying any antidotes this shows them.


accounts:

This accepts multiple arguments which you can see by just typing accounts.


backstab:

This is the command for the thief backstab attack.


backwards:

This useful command moves you back to the room you just left. This is very helpful if in a group and you get roared or flee for another reason and want to quickly rejoin. In mushZ you can shorten it to BW.


bash:

This is the warrior attack bash.


bank:

This lists your money on hand and in the bank.


bid:

This is used to place a bid on something currently being auctioned. you follow the id command with the amount. if you don't have the gold on hand you can add a dash force flag to the end to use money in your bank account instead.


beep:

This is used to beep a character to get their attention. you can read about it with help 1.beep.


berserk:

This is the warrior skill berserk. You can read about it with help 1.berserk.


block:

This is used to block people you don't want to be in contact with. block on it's own gives a list of the people you are currently blocking. help 1.block gives the arguments for the block command.


brew:

This is used with the mage skill potion brewing. When used on its own you get a list of the arguments, but you can also do help 2.brew.


bottle:

This is used to bottle liquids which may be brew potions, unguents, or stuff from pots or containers you find in game. It cost 25 gold per bottle.


bloodsacrifice :

This is the command for the necro skill more commonly known as blood sac. In mushZ it is set to the command BSC. You can read about it with help 1.bloodsac.


bquench:

bquench this is the warrior skill blood quench. It stops your character from being berserk if the conditions are right. you can read about it with help 1.bloodquench.


board:

This is the command for reading bulletin boards in game. they are like individual in game forums. typing board on its own will give you all the commands for how to interact with them.


boards:

This lists all the boards you have access to in game.


bob:

This is a command to bob your lure when fishing. You can read help 1.fishing for how to fish.


buy:

This is the command to buy something from a shop in game. You can get more info with the command help 3.buy.


bug:

This can be used to report bugs for an area. the command bug on its own will give you the arguments for submitting.


brief:

This is similar to autobrief. It turns off the presenting of room long descriptions.


blind:

This says you cover your eyes and can't see a thing. What this does I am not sure.


butcher:

This is the command to cut meat off a corpse if you know the skill. You can read about it with help 1.butcher.


bonecrafting:

This gives you all the arguments for bonecraft. It requires the necro skill bonecrafting to use. bribe:

This is the command for the thief skill bribe. You can read about it with help 1.bribe.


brag:

This is used to brag certain stats and information about your character directly to a channel. An example would be, brag dex, or brag ct dex. You can learn about the brag and show keywords with help 2.brag.


boat:

This is the command for managing a deep sea ship/boat. This command alone gives you all the arguments for the boat command. You can also do help 1.ship. the boat and ship commands seem to be the same thing.


books:

This is the command along with library to access different books in the alter archives.


boot:

This is used to boot someone from your clan area.


bloodrage:

This is the warrior skill blood rage. you can learn about it with help 1.bloodrage.


brage:

This is the shorthand for blood rage as shown above.


blstab:

This is the thief attack blood stab. you can read about it with help 1.blood stab.


build:

This is the command for the thief skill building explosives. You can read about it with help 3.build.


builders:

This simply lists the world builders.


boons:

This tells you if you are currently effected by any boons.


bonus:

During events if there are bonus classes enabled, this will show them.


cast:

This is the starter of every casting classes spell. to cast say fireball you must type cast fireball, or c fireball. if you aren't already targeting something or someone you must put who or what you want to cast at as well.


close:

This is used to close items which can be closed, or doors. Just put the item or door you wish to close after the command.


ctell:

This is to send a clan tell to all the clan members. This is commonly referred to as clan chat. You can also just write ct then your message.


channels:

This shows you all the channels you are connected to, and if they are turned on or off.


consider:

This is used to check how difficult a mob is before attacking them. You can shorten it to cons. for example cons dragon.


compare:

This is used to compare two items together to see which one is better for what you want. You can read about it with the command help 1.compare.


count:

This is used to show how many items are in something. For example count ground, or count bag.


check:

Without an argument this gives generic information. With a class for an argument, such as check necro, you get a game check on things you may need for your character. This is not always correct however. 1 clan:

If you are in a clan, this lists the recent activity for your clan.


clans:

This lists the different clans in game along with some stats for them.


cwho:

This shows who in your clan is currently online.


ctwho:

I think this shows who is currently connected to your clan chat...probably.


clanwho:

This also shows who in your clan is online.


clanset:

If you are not in a clan this allows you to be added. If you are in a clan this has different arguments depending on your rank in the clan.


clantell:

This sends a message to the clan chat. You can shorten it to ct message.


clanlist:

This is another way of listing all the clans in game.


cbroadcast:

If you have the proper rank in your clan you can broadcast a message with this command. It can be shortened to just cb.


call:

If you are a druid and know the skill or spells call animal you use this to summon them to you. You can read about it with help 1.call animal.


calm:

This is for the druid spell/skill calm animal. You can read about it with help 1.calm.


cleave:

This is the warrior attack cleave. You can read about it with help 1.cleave.


charge:

This is the warrior attack charge. you can learn about it with help 1.charge.


carried:

This tells you the items you are carrying in your inventory.


carve:

This is the basic command for the different druid carving skills. typing it alone gives you the different arguments which can be used.


clear:

This seems to do nothing, but it very well could be something visual.


case:

This is the command for the thief skill case. You can learn about it with help 2.case.


commands:

This shows you this list you are reading without my helpful descriptions.


connect:

This is how you connect to a channel.


cooking:

This gives you the different arguments for the cook command. you can learn about it with help 1.cooking.


color:

This is more eyeball things.


collect:

This is another way of gathering. you can do help 1.gather to learn about it.


compact:

This turns compact mode on or off. you can do help 1.compact to learn about what it is, maybe you'll have more luck than me.


condition:

This shows the condition of a mob when you put their name as the argument after the command. It can also be shortened to cn in MushZ at least. for example cn dragon.


configure:

This gives you a bunch of information about your character and your account.


context:

This is something you shouldn't need, do help 1.context to see why.


consecrate:

This is the cleric spell consecrate armor. to learn about it you can do help 1.consecrate.


changelog:

This lists the changes in the game.


changes:

This also lists the changes in the game, but it accepts arguments as well. help 1.changes shows the arguments.


climb:

This seems to be a hold over from an older alter. now you just automatically climb if necessary, unless one of the exits are listed as climb.


convert:

This is used to pick a god. You can read about the arguments with help 1.convert.


calculate:

To use an in game calculator use this command with mathie arguments.


charmed:

This shows all the minions or charmed things under your control.


clean:

This is a command to remove poison from stuff.


cloak:

This is for the thief skill cloak of darkness. You can read about it with the command help 1. cloak darkness.


combine:

This is used to combine two like spell comps or mined ores together.


combos:

If you are a warrior then this will list your combos along with an X for where the moves are you still need to figure out. help 1.combos.


crafting:

This gives you information on all the different types of crafting in game.


crafts:

This is the same as crafting.


creators:

This lists builders, the same as the builders command.


ccast:

This is for the mage channel casting skills. help 1.channel casting.


channelcast:

This is also for channel casting as explained above.


cryvictory:

This does a victory cry if you have the warrior skill. It can be shortened to cry. There is also an autocry option in mushZ's config. help 1.cry victory.


cripple:

This is a thief attack. help1.cripp.


drop:

This is used to drop an item. for example drop sword, drop 2.sword, drop all -f.1.


disarm:

This is the warrior skill disarm. help 1.disarm.


distract:

This is the thief skill distract. help 1.distract.


dirtthrow:

This is the thief skill dirt throwing. you can also shorten it to just dirt. help 1.throwing dirt.


dice:

This rolls a die by default, but there are more options you can read about with help 1.dice.


donate:

This is used to donate stuff you no longer need to a donation room for others. You can read about it with help 1.donate.


drink:

Used to drink stuff in your inventory. for example drink potion.


date:

This gives you info on the server uptime, the game's date, and also something about the current game time.


ditch:

This is used to ditch someone, it does something which I have not tested.


dues:

This shows you dues info for your clan if you are in one.


disconnect:

This is a worse way of quitting that takes more words than just doing quit. If you want to disconnect this way then you need to add a dash force flag at the end of the command. It is the same as just doing alt f4, which is not the proper way to log out. This will result in you going link dead.


dream:

When sleeping this reads out your current dream.


deeds:

This shows how many deeds you have done.


dslayer:

This is for the warrior skill dragonslayer, also known as lancing. help 1.dragonslayer.


douse:

This is to put out a fire.


disband:

This is to disband a group, it has to be followed by the dash force command -force.


defend:

This toggles your character's defensive fighting if you know the warrior skill. help 1.defensive fighting.


disembark:

This is used to get off a boat or dragon, you could also just type out.


deathwalk:

This toggles on the necro skill death walk. help 1.deathwalk.


dismiss:

This is the command to release a minion from your control. you have to specify the minion after the command.


describe:

This gives you the description for an item on the ground or a person. for example, describe sword.


dcreate:

This is a command for creating doors if you can edit rooms.


dset:

This is for door setting commands if you can edit a room.


equipment:

This lists off all your worn equipment. You can just shorten it to EQ.


eqset:

This gives you information about how to use equipment sets.


eqsets:

This lists all the equipment sets you have on your character. help 1.eqset.


eqwear:

This is to switch to a different eq set. eq sets are very powerful, and you can read about them with help 1.eqset.


emote:

Just as with the action command this is used to emote something. Similar to a /me command. Also shortened to ac.


exitts:

this lists all the exits from your current room.


empty:

This is used to empty a container. It always requires a dash force flag at the end. You can empty something onto the ground with empty bag -force, or into another bag with empty 1.bag 2.bag -force.


email:

This is for using in game mud mail. Typing the command alone gives you all the information you'll need.


enter:

This is used to enter certain places on maps like holes, caves, trees and so on.


enrage:

This is a warrior skill. help 1.enrage.


enemies:

This will list enemies in your room.


eat:

To eat something just to eat item.


examine:

This is the same as looking at something.


extinguish:

For putting out fires and such.


experience:

This just shows your current experience. It is much easier to just do alt+X in mushZ.


enchant:

This is for enchanting items at higher levels. there are lots of different enchantments, this command on its own gives some information.


event:

If there is an event, or one scheduled you can see info with this command.


eventshow:

If there is an event, or one scheduled you can see info with this command.


excavate:

When mining this is used after prospecting to mine the stuff you found with a pick or shovel. You can also just type mine.


eldertell:

In a clan this sends a message to the elders. You can also just do ET.


etell:

A shorter way to send an elder tell in a clan, but still not as short as ET.


flee:

When fighting you can flee to try and run away in a random direction.


feint:

The thief skill feint. help 1.feint.


flourish:

The thief skill flourish. help 1.flourish.


flank:

The warrior skill flanking attack. help 1.flank.


flip:

When cooking this is used to flip the item being cooked. help 1.cooking.


follow:

To follow another player or mob.


followers:

To list all the followers you have including minions.


foes:

To list foes in the room.


find:

This shows where you are and what players are near by.


fighting:

This shows you who you are currently fighting just in case you forgot.


faqs:

This lists the frequently asked questions.


forage:

This is used with the druid skill plant lore to forage for stuff you can eat or use as comps.


forge:

This is used with different arguments to use a forge for crafting. help forge.


fish:

This is used to start fishing, help 1.fishing.


fill:

This is used to pour liquid from one thing to another.


feats:

This shows what feats you have accomplished.


fame:

This shows your current fame, what the max is, and how much you have spent. help 1.fame.

if you are on a flying creature you can fly in a direction with this command. for example, fly east 100.

If you are fighting someone and have a ranged weapon, this is the command to shoot it at the mob you are fighting.

used to get something off the ground, or out of a container. get sword, get sword bag.


group:

This shows all members of your group including minions.


grshow:

This shows people who are leading groups who you can join.

This shows who is currently tanking in the group.

This shows who in your group is hurt, including minions.

This shows you how much gold you have in hand, and also how much is in bank.

This shows you the list of gods you can follow. You can also just type gods, or pan.

This is a longer way of writing gods, or godlist.

This lists your quests.


gwho:

This shows people online who follow the same god as you.

This shows guilds in game and your rank in them.

This lists your group jobs you have active. you can do gjob number info to get more information about a specific one.

hlast:

The command for the thief skill hide. help 2.hide.


history:

This lists your most recent commands sent to the mud.


hints:

This toggles on or off noob hints and tips.


hold:

The command to hold an item which is holdable.


how:

gives you some noob info.


heal:

The command for the cleric skill healing touch. help 1.healing touch.


hp:

shows your current hit points. in MushZ you can just do alt+H.


hpshow:

shows the hp for everyone in your group including minions.


hands:

shows what is in your hands.


hptank:

Shows the hp of whoever is tanking in your group.


hphurt:

Shows the hp of those who are hurt in your group, It is easier to just type hph.


hpgroup:

shows the hp for everyone in your group including minions.


home:

it is the same as recalling.


harvest:

you can harvest different things from corpses. Do harvest alone to get a list, or use help 1.harvest for more information.


hardreturns:

This has something to do with returns and formatting, but I don't know what.


inventory:

List the stuff in your inventory, or just type in I.


information:

This gives you info about your character.


if:

This is something to do with if commands, but I do not know what.


identify:

The most used command. get info about items you are holding with ID item.


idle:

Used to find the idle time of someone. idle Sharlie for example.


ignore:

To ignore a player. Ignore alone gives info, help 1.ignore tells you now it works.


idea:

If you have an idea for something you can log it for the admins.


instances:

This shows you if you are the owner of any instances, and how long before they expire. help 1.instances.


insult:

do insult player for all the fun.


intimidate:

The warrior skill intimidate. help 1.intimidate.

The warrior skill/attack knockback. help 1.knockback.


knockdown:

Another name for the warrior skill Knockback.

The command for the crafting skill of knapping. If you know the skill the command knapping will show your options. You can also do help 1.knapping for the arguments and info.

The command to look at stuff and places. You can look at an item in your inventory, on the ground, a person, or into rooms next to you with the infra vision spell. help 1.look.


lunge:

The warrior skill lunge. help 1.lunge.


list:

When in a shop, store, donation room, or anywhere else with a listing you can use list to view the different things. There are a lot of complex ways to sort listings. do help switches and read all the help files for how to do advanced searching.


listen:

use channel listen instead of this.


lock:

use this to lock a door or container which can be locked. You need the key to lock something.


lockpick:

The thief skill for picking locks. help 1.lockpick.


level:

To advance your character's level. If you have the xp when using alt+X in MushZ you can then level your char. put the class to level after the command.


levels:

Shows you the total xp to level your primary class all the way up to 38, or 39 when that is released.


leap:

The warrior skill leap. help 1.leap.


learned:

This shows you all the skills you have learned. You can add a class argument after the command to see skills for a specific class.


leathercrafting:

used to get the weight and length of items. follow the command with the item you want to measure.


monitor:

The command to monitor the HP of a specific group member. follow the command with the name of the one you want to monitor.


minions:

This shows all the minions you are controlling.


mmarket:

This is the money market where you buy credits for gold, or gold for credits. It can be shortened to the command mm. help 1.mmarket.


moneymarket:

This is the money market where you buy credits for gold, or gold for credits. It can be shortened to the command mm. help 1.mmarket.


mount:

This is for getting onto something you can ride. For example mount dragon.


melt:

The mage skill melt. help 1.melt.


merge:

The same as the combine command. enter in merge on it's own to see how to merge or combine items.


missing:

This will list group members who are not in the same room as you.


motd:

This shows the message of the day.


motto:

If in a clan, this will send the clan's motto text to your char.


milking:

You can milk female animals for milk. Just follow the command with the animal you want to milk. help 1.milking.


mset:

If you own a clan, and your clan owns a mob you can set it's strings with this command. type in mset on it's own to get a list of the arguments.


msstat:

This has something to do with statting mobs as well.

This shows the mobs you have the ability to change and edit.


nearby:

This shows you what maps are near your current location. You can also add in an argument to filter by name.


news:

This shows the current news for the game.


nosummon:

This toggles whether or not players are able to summon you.


notell:

This shows who you are blocking.


notify:

This toggles whether or not the notify channel is on or off. This channel shows things like freak soul steals and backstabs.


noprompt:

This just seems to send a noprompt text to your client. Maybe it does something visually too.


noedit:

This toggles on and off edit mode. help 1.noedit.


noleave:

This toggles on and off the leaving behind of lagging group members.


noksteal:

This toggles allowing other players to assist you in battle when not grouped with them.


nokillsteal:

This toggles allowing other players to assist you in battle when not grouped with them.


nukereply:

This gets rid of the last person you replied to, this way you can no longer use the reply command.


nogcast:

This removes you from group casting circles.


nomelee:

This is more commonly referred to as No Combat. it toggles your character between entering into melee range or staying outside it. help 1.nocombat.


nocombat:

This toggles your character between entering into melee range or staying outside it. help 1.nocombat.


navigate:

This is used when in a ship to navigate on the ocean with the sea navigate skill. help 1.sea navigation.


names:

This returns your name, along with the names of the stuff in your inventory.


objects:

This shows all the objects on the ground in your room. You can also just type o.


order:

This is the command to order minions to do things. for example order zombie to poke Sharlie.


open:

This is used to open doors, containers, and anything else that's closed and can be opened.


out:

This is used to exit some places that don't have a direction as an exit.


oshow:

This shows objects you have access to, what this means I do not know.


ostat:

This is for statting items, which may be a builder or clan owner command.


osstat:

This is for statting items, which may be a builder or clan owner command.


oset:

This gives you info about objects you can stat and the different arguments.


ofind:

This is a really useful command to search all the things you have access to for an item. For example ofind ruby bracelet. It also searches inside of containers in your inventory and storage.


put:

This is used to put an item into a container. For example put sword bag.


picklock:

The command to pick a lock with the lock picking command. help 1.lockpick.


pickpocket:

The command for the thief skill pick pocket. help 1.pick pocket.


practice:

On it's own this command just lists your practices and skills/spells. If something is a critical spell you can do practice spellName to learn it anywhere.


punch:

This is a different way of doing the warrior skill/attack jab. help 1.jab.


pommelstrike pstrike:

The warrior skill/attack pommel strike. Help 1.pommel.


pray:

When at a waypoint you can pray there to add it to your waypoint list, and so you are able to recall back to it.


palm:

The thief skill palm. help 1.palm.


party:

This is yet another way of showing the members of your group.


parties:

This shows the groups looking for members on the groups listing.


prompts:

This gives you info about your current prompts.


pose:

This sends class specific emotes and socials.


pour:

This is used to pour liquid from one container into another. For example pour cup bowl.


prepare:

This is the necro skill used for preparing undead. help 1.prepare.


poison:

This is something thieves do with poisoning things. help poison.


peek:

A thief skill to look at what people are carrying. help 1.peek.


profile:

The command to show the profile of a character. Help 1.profile.


protect:

The warrior skill protect. help 1.protector.


points:

This shows you all the different points you have, profession, combat, and so on.


pantheon:

This is like the gods command. It can be shortened to pan, and you can add a god's name as an argument to get their specific info.


players:

This shows the players in your current room.


panic:

This makes you flee in a random direction.


pkill:

This turns on PVP.


passgen:

This is a password generator? I don't know how it works or if it changes the passwords every time or not.


prospect:

This is used when mining to check for ore deposits in your current room. You require the mining skill and also a pick or shovel in your inventory. help 1.mining.


petition:

This is for the cleric skills involving supernals and angels. help 2.petition.


pluck:

This is used to pluck feathers from dead birds. These are used in crafting. help 1.pluck.


playstyle:

This is the same as the check command. It gives you generalized advice.


ports:

This is a list of ports you can safely dock a ship at.


push:

This command is used to open some passageways. Some walls and secret passageways have to be pushed to open.


pull:

This command is used to open some passageways. Some walls and secret passageways have to be pulled to open.


quaff:

This is the same as drink. This can used for anything drinkable in game. It can be shortened to just Q in game.


quit:

This is used to sign out of the game and properly end your connection.


quests:

This command lists your quests. You can see more about each quest with quest number info, or quest extra number.


remove:

This is used to stop using an item. This could be equipment or something wielded. It can also be used to remove board messages if you have permission to edit them.


report:

This quickly sends your hp, mana, and movement stats to the say channel.


reply:

This is used to reply to the last tell you received.


replay:

This command is used to send the last 50 messages from a channel. The two arguments are channel, then the amount of messages to replay. The default is 50, and you can replay up to 200.


riposte:

The warrior skill/attack. help 1.riposte.


rehash:

This is old and is not used anymore.


read:

This is the command for reading stuff in game. Some books in your inventory can be read, or walls, or whatever has writing on it.


rescue:

The command for the warrior skill rescue. help 1.rescue.


rest:

This is the command to sit down and rest. Your stats will regen faster while resting, but not as fast as sleeping. If you cast a spell your character will automatically stand up.


rally:

The command for warrior skill rally. help 1.rally.


recite:

This is the command for using a scroll, but in most cases use scroll is just as effective and easier for most to write. help 1.recite.


recall:

This is the command to return yourself to your last prayed at, or used waypoint. If you don't have a god your recall can fail.


retreat:

The skill for the warrior skill retreat. help 1.retreqat.


resists:

This shows you your weapon's stats along with your current elemental and magic resistance's.


roster:

This command lists all the members of your clan, if you are in a clan.


rob:

This is another command for the thief skill steal. help 3.steal, and help 6.steal.


roar:

The command for the warrior skill roar. help 1.roar.


run:

This is the same as flee and panic, this will attempt to run in a direction to escape.


runes:

Runes have a lot of different uses in alter. You can use the rune command followed by the argument help to see the rune commands.


reset:

This doesn't seem to do anything.


renounce:

This is used to stop following your current god.


respond:

This is a longer word used to reply to the last person to send you a tell.


release:

This command is used to release a minions from your control. You need to give the argument of the minion you wish to release.


reel:

When fishing this is used to reel in your line which hopefully has a fish on it.


restart:

This gives you instructions on how to restart your character.


rules:

This lists the rules in the game. you can enter in specific rule numbers or sections as arguments to read them.


ruler:

This seems to have no real use.


reduce:

This is used both for antidote and reagent reduction. help 1.reduce, and help 2.reduce.


review:

You can use this command on a corpse to see what it looked like when it was still alive.


recast:

The addition of recasting to the game has made a lot of things much easier. You can see your recasting options with the command recast. it accepts arguments based on adding a spell, removing, turning on or off, or setting your floor. help 1.recast.


rset:

This is used to set stats on a room if you have the permission to edit the room.


rstat:

This gives you the stats of a room. This may or may not require permissions.


rsstat:

This gives you the stats of a room. This may or may not require permissions.


rshow:

This shows all the rooms you have the permission to edit.


rcreate:

This is used to create a room, assuming you are somewhere with the proper permissions. it requires a force flag as well.


say:

This is used to say something...well to the say chat. This is only for people in your current room. This can be shortened to an apostrophe/single quote/tick at the start of your message instead of the word say.


sprompt:

This seems to return some randomness.


speak:

This is a longer command to say something instead of say or single quote.


stats:

This command shows you a bunch of info about your characters stats.


stab:

This is an alternative command for the thief skill backstab. help 1.backstab.


stomp:

The command for the warrior skill/attack stomp. help 1.stomp.


save:

This saves your character to the server. I don't know if this actually does any good.


sacrifice:

This is used to sac something on the ground to your god. Once it is sacrificed you can not get it back.


score:

This givs you some basic information about your character regarding things you have collected or done.


scan:

This command scans's the rooms around you in line of site, and tells you all the mobs and how far away they are. This only works during the daylight hours.


scent:

This just tells you the smell of your room and possibly rooms near you.


set:

This tells you what you have set to on or off in the game. This includes channels and some config options.


sell:

This command is used to sell items to a shopkeeper or store. The argument you use is the name of the item in your inventory you wish to sell.


second:

This is for the warrior skill second wind. help 1.second wind.


sit:

This is the command to sit down and rest. Your stats will regen faster while resting, but not as fast as sleeping. If you cast a spell your character will automatically stand up.


skills:

This lists all your known skills. You can enter a class argument to only see the skills from a specific class.


skin:

If you know the skinning skill you can use this command to skin a corpse. help 1.skinning.


skirmish:

This is the command for the thief skill skirmish. help 1.skirmish.


sleep:

The command to go to sleep. You should only do this in a safe area. Stats will regen much faster when sleeping.


slist:

This command is used to list all the spells or skills the teacher in your room can teach you.


slam:

This is the command for the warrior skill/attack shield slam. help 1.slam.


slogan:

If you are in a clan this will send your clan's slogan to your client.


search:

The command for the thief skill search. help thief search.


sector:

This tells you what continent or plain you are on.


season:

This is the command to season your cooked food if you know the proper cooking skills. help 1.cooking.


sneak:

This is the command to toggle the thief skill sneak. Even if you don't know the skill you can still attempt to sneak. help 1.sneaking.


sneaking:

This shows who in your group is sneaking.


socials:

This lists all the socials you can use in game.


sort:

This is used to sort the items in a container. The argument should be the container you wish to sort. it seems to place items in alphabetical order.


show:

This has a tonne of arguments you can use with it, it shares the same keywords as brag. Show simply reports the info back to you, brag sends the text to a channel. help 2.brag.


showprompt:

More prompt stuff that seems to have minimal use.


shoplift:

The command for the thief skill shoplift. help 1.shoplift.


shopkeep:

If you own a shop in game you can then use this command with different arguments to manage the shop. The command on its own gives a list of the arguments. help 1.playershops.


split:

This command is used to split comps into smaller pieces. you can use two arguments. the name of the item, and the amount you want to split off.


spells:

This lists all the spells you know. Similar to skills, only with spells instead. You can use the argument of a class to only see spells for that class.


spam:

There are a bunch of spam flags you can toggle in Alter. Entering spam on it's own will give you a list of them along with some information on what they do.


spook:

This is the command for the druid skill spook animal. help 1.spook.


status:

This gives you some random status information for your character.


statistics:

This gives random statistics on your character.


stand:

If resting or sleeping this command can be used to stand back up.


study:

This is pretty much another way of looking at something.


sail:

If you are at the helm of a ship you can use the sail command to move around on an ocean. help 1.sail.


steal:

This is the command for the thief skill steal. help 3.steal, and help 6.steal.


start:

This is the command for starting a fire. help 1.start.


subgtel:

This is another form of group chat. IN my experience everyone just uses a normal gt. help 1.subgtell.


sunder:

The command for the warrior skill/attack sunder. help 1.sunder.


sunset:

This toggles showing the time of day after a room description. help 1.sunset.


send:

This is used to send things to your terminal. the words when entering send alone might mean something to you.


slay:

This is the same as kill. It can be used to start a fight if you enter the target as an argument after the command.


stop:

This will stop you when doing most things in game.


stopfighting :

This will stop your character from fighting if you are in melee combat.


stir:

When cooking you use this command to stir things that need to be stirred. help 1.cooking.


settarget:

This is a very long way of targeting a mob. It is much easier to just use tar and the name.


storage:

The storage is an alter essential. storage on it's own gives you all the storage commands including how to start your 1 month free storage. help 1.storage.


summon:

This is used mainly for the necro summoning skills. help summon, or summon help.


spellset:

This is used to take a snapshot of what spells you have up. This way if you have a group of spells you wish to keep up, you can see if they are up or down with the effects command. help 1.spellset.


store:

This is the command for the mage skill store power. help 1.store power.


scout:

This is the command for the thief skill scout. help 1.scout.


soulbind:

This is the command for the necro skill soul bind. help 1.soulbind.


scribe:

This is the command for the mage skill scribe scroll. help 1.scribe.


shadow:

This is the command related to different thief shadow commands. On its own it gives you a listing of different arguments.


ship:

This is the command for managing a deep sea ship/boat. This command alone gives you all the arguments for the boat command. You can also do help 1.ship. the boat and ship commands seem to be the same thing.


survey:

This command looks around your room and gives you some geographical information.


soulmarket:

This command is used to sell or buy soul stones from the soul market. It can be shortened to just SM. The command on its own gives you all the arguments. help 1.soulmarket.


sales:

This command lists any credit sales currently active along with how long they will be active.


smelt:

This is a forge command to melt down ores into usable metals. help 1.smelting.


smith:

This is related to the metallurgy skill. help 1.metallurgy.


smell:

This is to sniff the air or an item.


tell:

This is to send a tell to someone, you need to put their character name after the command.


talk:

This is to say something to a specific person. It sends the message as a say message, just one which is directed to them specifically.


terrain:

This simply tells you your local terrain.


thrust:

This is the command for the warrior skill/attack thrust. help 1.thrust.


throw:

This is used to throw stuff in a direction. This can be used to get rid of stuff in your inventory, or also for learned thief throwing skills. help throw.


trip:

This is the command for the thief skill trip. help 1.trip.


troll:

This is the command to troll your line when fishing. help 1.fishing.


tug:

This is the command to set your hook when fishing. help 1.fishing.


title:

This is the command to set your title in game. This is commonly used to add a bit of cheeky text for people to see about you. help 1.title.


train:

This is used to train stats in alter. The command on its own lists all your stats and the cost to improve them. Entering an argument of the stat to train after the command will spend the points and you will improve that stat. help training.


time:

This tells you when the game was last booted, the uptime, and also the current game time.


turn:

This is the command for the cleric skill turn undead. help 1.turn undead.


tips:

This toggles on and off the showing of hints and tips.


typoshow:

This shows the typo logs for a room or area.


take:

This is used mainly to get an item from a donation room. It can also be used in place of get to get something off the ground.


tank:

The command to toggle the warrior skill tank. help 1.tanking.


target:

The command to target a mob. Once they are targeted your minions will attack them.


taunt:

The skill for the warrior skill taunt. help 1.taunt.


trade:

This is the command to start a trade with another player. This is meant as a safer way of trading. I have never found someone who uses this however. help 2.trading.


touch:

This is the command to touch something. Some things need to be touched to open, or to effect the map.


tap:

This is the command to tap power as part of the mage skill store power. help 1.store power.


tactics:

This will show you a list of your warrior tactics. help 1.tactics.


trap:

This is the command for the different thief trap skills. to see all the help files for them just do help trap.


tailor:

The command for tailoring. The command on its own gives you a list of the arguments. never tailor until something has been runed. help 1.tailor.


tasks:

This is another way of listing your jobs.


taste:

This allows you to taste things, I don't know if this has any use.


think:

This lets you think something, but it doesn't send to anyone in your room.


use:

This is pretty much the catch all command to use anything. potions, scrolls, weapons, equipment. if it can be used then this command will do it.


usecarried:

A way to only use something in your inventory, in case there is something on the ground with a similar keyword.


useheld:

To use the item you are holding, like say a wand, but normally just use works just as good, as long as you don't have a similarr named item in your inventory, or on the ground.


unlock:

If you have a key, you can then use this command to use the key on the locked door or item to unlock it.


unuse:

To stop using something. remove will work just as well though.


unwear:

To stop wearing an item, follow it with the name of the item. remove will work just as well though.


unwield:

To stop wielding something. Normally remove will work, but not always.


uptime:

To show how long the server has been up.


unalias:

To remove an alias. you need to follow the command with the name of the alias you wish to delete.


unmaintain:

If you are maintaining a spell with the mage skill maintaining spells, you can use this command to take it down. follow the command with the spell you wish to remove.


ungroup:

To remove someone from your group. Follow the command with the name of the person.


unfollow:

To unfollow someone you use this command followed by their name. It is easier and universal to just do follow self though.


unequip:

To remove something you are wearing. Follow the command with the name of the item. Remove also works.


uname:

This command seems to show the current server version, along with a list of who has made what clients.


unhide:

If you are hiding with the thief skill hide, this will then unhide you. help 1.hiding.


unignore:

To stop ignoring a player, follow the command with their name.


unsummon:

This is yet another way of releasing minions.


unblock::

To remove someone from your block list. Follow the command with their name.


userload:

This shows you how many players have been connected. It explains how when you enter in the command. .


uabort:

This is an user abort, what it does I'm not sure.


update:

If you are using the Alter Aeon custom client this can update I guess.


unstring:

This is used to revert a custom clan strung item back to it's original string. follow the command with the name of the item you wish to revert back. help 1.unstring.


unpoison:

This is used to remove poison from items. I don't know if this has a use, but if so this is how you do it.


unload:

This is the command to unload your ranged weapons. follow the command with the name of the weapon you wish to unload.


victory:

This is another way of performing a cry of victory after a fight. help 1.cry of victory.


valor:

This is the command for the warrior skill valor. help 1.valor.


value:

This is to get the value of something in your inventory from a shopkeeper. This way you know what they will pay for it before selling.


variables:

This is for viewing your set variables. I haven't personally messed with this, but help variables will give some basic info.


versions:

This command seems to show the current server version, along with a list of who has made what clients.


wear:

This is the command to wear an item. Follow the command with the name of the item you want to wear. In most cases use works as well.


wield:

The command to wield an item. follow it with the name of the item. In most cases use will work as well.


who:

This shows everyone online. You can filter it with different arguments. help 3.who.


whois:

This shows the public multis for the character specified.


whoami:

This says who you are with information about you.


wakeup::

This wakes you up from sleep. It can just be written as wake.


warn:

This is used to warn the group of something. follow it with a message you want sent.


where:

This gives you some useful information about your current map.


waypoints:

This does two different things dependent on where you are. If you are at a waypoint it is the command to jump to another waypoint. Just follow it with the number or name of the waypoint you wish to jump to. If you enter it with nor arguments at a waypoint it tells you where you can get to from where you are. If you are not at a waypoint it lists all your waypoints you have. There are other arguments you can see in the help file. help 1.waypoints.


wickercraft:

The command for the druid skill wickercrafting. help 1.wickercraft.


wickerwork:

Another command which is part of the druid skill wickercrafting. help 1.wickercraft.


wander:

This just makes your character pick a random direction and wander over there.


write:

If you have something you can write on, this is the command to do it. This is also used for writing on boards maybe? help 1.write.


wimpy:

This toggles the automatic fleeing when you have low health.


weight:

This checks the weight of an item. It also works the same as measure.


whirlwind:

The command for the warrior skill/attack whirlwind. help 1.whirlwind.


withdraw:

The command for the thief skill withdraw. help 1.withdraw.


whisper:

To send a whisper to someone in the same room as you. Others in the room will see that you whispered, but they cannot see the message. follow it with the name then the message.


worth:

This just shows your money in hand, and also your money in bank. woodcrafting:

This command on it's own says the exits, If you add a direction as an argument you'll move to the next room in that direction. it is much easier to just type the direction.


weather:

This simply tells you the current weather for your location.


wizlist:

This is the same as the builders command. It just lists the people who work on the game.


yell:

To yell out a message to everyone on your map use this command followed by the text you wish to yell.
