Beginner's Sword Recipie

• Before we get into the recipie, when this recipie refers to combining two things, this refers to putting two items together to make a new one. This is acomplished by putting the items in your hands, then pressing T. this is the combine key, and will make them into a new item.
• First you are going to combine Wood with Knife. This will give you a Carved Wood. You need to do this process 3 times. The Sword requires a total of 3 Carved Wood.
• Then put 2 of the 3 Carved Wood in your hands. So you have Carved Wood in left, and Carved Wood in right. Then combine them, this will give you a Plank.
• Then combine Plank with Knife, this will result in a Carved Plank.
• Next you are going to use the remaining Carved Wood you made by combining it with a Knife. This will make a Shaft.
• Now Combine the Carved Plank you made with the Shaft. This makes a Disfigured Paddle.
• then you have to simply combine a Knife with your Disfigured Paddle to make a Paddle
• Now combine Knife with Paddle, this will make 2 Disfigured Paddle halfs, but you will only need one for your Sword
• Combine Knife with a Disfigured Paddle Half, this will make a Sword Handle. You are about half way done now.
• The process of making the Sword Blade involves Forging. Forging is when you combine two items over a fire, as it is in real life. It differs from normal crafting, first you need to be standing on the same tile as a fire when combining the items, and you need to keep pressing T to combine the items until it is fully forged
• Start by forging Metal With Hammer. This will make a Bent Metal.
• Now forge Bent Metal and Knife , this will make a Crude Sword Blade.
• Now combine your crude sword blade with your sword handle. This will make a loosly connected crude sword.
• Combine your loosly connected crude sword with a piece of string. This will make a Crude Sword.
• Now you need to forge your crude sword. the next step is a bit tricky but easy once you understand what is happening.
• While standing on your fire forge the crude sword with a hammer. you will be able to press T a few times then you will receive a message telling you the sword is not flat enough.
• now press alt T to flatten the sword back out. Once it is flat enough return to pressing just T.
• Continue doing this cycle until your crude sword is fully forged into a dull sword.
• Now you need to forge your dull sword with a stone while standing on a fire tile.
• This will take some time but when completed you will have a completed *Sword.
